Terms of Service

Last updated: October 4, 2026

SeekForHelp has two apps: one for clients who need help at home, and one for the pros who do the work. Each has its own terms. Read the part that applies to you.

For clients

SeekForHelp app · Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the SeekForHelp app as a client. Please read them before posting a job or hiring a pro.

1. What SeekForHelp is

SeekForHelp is a marketplace that connects people who need help at home with independent service professionals ("pros"). We are not a party to the work you arrange with a pro. Pros are not our employees or agents, and they are responsible for their own work, licences and insurance.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use the app. You sign in with your mobile number and are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your details accurate and tell us at once if you think someone else has accessed it.

3. Posting a job

Describe your job honestly and accurately, including its location and any photos you add. Do not post anything unlawful, dangerous, misleading or offensive. Posting is free, and posting a job does not oblige you to hire anyone.

4. Quotes, hiring and payment

Pros respond with quotes. You hire a pro only by accepting their quote, and that agreement is between you and the pro. SeekForHelp charges pros, not clients: you pay the pro directly for the work, on the terms you agree with them. We do not hold, process or guarantee payments between you and a pro.

5. Cancellations

You can cancel a job in the app. If you have already hired a pro, let them know as early as possible. Any costs a pro has incurred are a matter between you and the pro.

6. Reviews and content

Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. You keep ownership of what you post (descriptions, photos, messages and reviews), and you allow us to store, display and process it to run the service. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

7. Conduct

Treat pros with respect. Do not harass anyone, misuse personal information you receive through the app, arrange to avoid the platform in bad faith, or interfere with the app's operation or security.

8. Disclaimers

We check pros' identity and licences where we can, but we do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of any work. The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from work carried out by a pro or from your use of the app.

9. Suspension and closing your account

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can delete your account at any time under Profile › Help & Support.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. If the changes are significant, we will tell you in the app before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and of the province in which you live.

For pros

SeekForHelp Pro app · Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the SeekForHelp Pro app as a service professional ("pro"). Please read them before you accept a job.

1. What SeekForHelp is

SeekForHelp is a marketplace that connects people who need help at home with independent pros. You work for yourself, not for us: you are not our employee, agent or partner. You are responsible for your own work, tools, licences, permits, insurance and taxes.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to work in Canada. You sign in with your mobile number and are responsible for everything done through your account. One account per person; do not share it or let anyone else take jobs through it. Keep your profile, services, service areas and availability accurate.

3. Licences, insurance and verification

Hold every licence, certification and insurance that the law requires for the services you offer. Documents you upload must be genuine, current and your own. Our team reviews them and may approve or reject them. Services that require a licence or insurance are only offered to you once we have verified it. Tell us promptly if a licence or policy expires, is suspended or is cancelled.

4. Job invitations

We send you invitations that match your services, service areas and languages. Each job is open to a limited number of pros, usually three, or one for urgent jobs. We do not guarantee any number of invitations or any amount of work. An invitation can close once the job's places are taken or the client cancels.

5. Credits

Responding to a job invitation costs credits. The cost is shown before you respond and is deducted when you do, whether or not the client goes on to hire you. You buy credits in the app, and payments are processed by our payment provider. Credits are not money: they have no cash value, cannot be transferred and cannot be exchanged for cash. Except where the law requires otherwise or these terms say so, purchased credits are non-refundable.

6. Withdrawing and credit returns

If you need to withdraw from a job, do it in the app and tell the client as early as possible. Depending on the reason, the credits you spent may be lost or may go to our team for review; the app shows which before you confirm. Credit returns are decided by our team, who may ask you for evidence such as screenshots. Withdrawals for which you are responsible may count toward your reliability.

7. Quotes, the work and payment

Quotes you send are offers to the client. The client hires you only by accepting your quote, and that agreement is between you and the client. Once hired you can send additional quotes for extra work; the client decides whether to accept them. Do the work professionally, safely and as agreed. The client pays you directly; we do not hold, process or guarantee payments between you and a client.

8. Reviews and content

Clients may review you after a job. Do not post fake reviews, pay for reviews or pressure clients over their review. You keep ownership of what you post (your profile, photos, quotes and messages), and you allow us to store, display and process it to run the service. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

9. Conduct

Treat clients with respect and do not discriminate against anyone. Use a client's address and contact details only for the job they hired you for. Do not harass anyone, arrange to avoid the platform in bad faith, or interfere with the app's operation or security.

10. Disclaimers

We do not guarantee that a client will hire you, pay you or describe a job accurately. The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your dealings with a client or from your use of the app.

11. Suspension and closing your account

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, that use false documents, or whose reliability or reviews show a pattern of harm to clients. You can stop using the app and ask us to delete your account at any time.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. If the changes are significant, we will tell you in the app before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and of the province in which you work.
